Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande returned to the big screen to carry the story of Elphaba and Glinda this past fall. Bad: Good.
Directed by Jon M. Chu and, Bad: Good continues the story in the Broadway musical adaptation They are not badwhich completely dominated the box office in 2024. The first part also picked up 10 Academy Award nominations, winning two for production design and costume design, and set the bar very high for the second part.
Besides Erivo and Grande, Bad: Good and stars Jeff Goldblum, Michelle Yeoh, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang, and Marissa Bode. Is it Bad: Good is it worth watching?
It’s hard for a sequel to live up to its predecessor, either Bad: Good struggles to match the magic of the first film. On Rotten Tomatoes, for example, They are not bad it has 88 percent criticism. Bad: Goodon the other hand, it has only 66 percent. Audiences are happy with both, though. Both films have audience ratings of over 90 percent, although many people have debated whether two separate films were necessary in the first place.
