Where can you watch

  • Real Madrid vs. Real Sociedad will play in the US on ESPN Select.

Real Madrid can throw away title rivals Barcelona on Saturday as they seek victory in Spain’s La Liga. A win over middling Real Sociedad would send them top of the table.

Los Blancos endured a tricky test against Valencia last weekend to leave the Mestalla Stadium with a 2-0 win, putting them within a point of leaders Barça, who play on Monday. With Alvaro Arbeloa’s side not involved in Copa del Rey action in midweek, the hosts have had a week to prepare for the game. It is a break that should allow key player Kylian Mbappé to recover in time from a minor knee injury he sustained last week.

They face a Real Sociedad team that has shown significant improvement since the appointment of Pellegrino Matarazzo back in December. The American coach has led the Basque club to four wins from their six La Liga games, transforming them from relegated sides to genuine European contenders.

Real Madrid will face Real Sociedad at the Bernabéu Stadium Saturday, February 14. Kick off is scheduled 9pm CET local time, that is 3 pm ET or 12 pm PT in the US and Canada, 8pm GMT in the UK as well 7am AEDT in Australia on Sunday morning.
