All the big MWC 2026 announcements, including the Xiaomi 17 Ultra and the Honor Robot phone

Mobile World Congress in Barcelona is in full swing, and it’s been busy.
Well, maybe it sounds busier than usual, as both Samsung and Apple decided to squeeze in their big product unveiling before and after MWC.
Even apart from that news around MWC, it’s been an exciting few days here in Barcelona. We’ve seen robots, robot phones, and phones that can take pictures of robots from miles away. And yes, every other word for every announcement is still AI, but this year the AI features are starting to make sense. Let’s take a look at all the big announcements we saw at MWC this year.

Xiaomi has a new Ultra phone, and it did not disappoint. Plus, it’s a powerful camera, with great zoom capabilities, top-notch specs, and plenty of accessories for photo enthusiasts.
The company also introduced a special, Leica-branded model called the Leica Leitzphone; it’s basically the same as the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, but with a cool retro design, and a rotating ring around the camera bump that you can use to control the zoom.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is just one part of the mountain of new gadgets that Xiaomi brought to Barcelona, including the Xiaomi Watch 5, the Xiaomi Tag, and more.

Xiaomi’s phones were cool, but the real surprise was the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo, a concept hypercar created for the Vision Gran Turismo Program, where automakers create unreal cars for the popular Gran Turismo game.
Xiaomi’s new car concept has the strangest cockpit we’ve ever seen
The car is exactly what you’d expect: It looks fast, a little nutty, and probably unlike anything you’ve ever seen on the road. We’ll see how much of its technology will turn into real products (we’re especially interested in those floating wheel covers).

Honor announced its Robot Phone back in 2025, but it was the first time the company brought it to the show, giving us the chance to see it up close (no touch, though). We’re still not sure how useful the robot arm/camera gimbal will be in real life, but it’s pretty cool to look at.
Honor’s Robot Phone Hand: It’s wild, and weird
Not content with bringing just one robot thing to MWC, Honor also brought a humanoid robot that danced on stage in Barcelona, before meeting its little Robot Phone counterpart, and then leaving.

Honor’s big announcement at Barcelona, critical all]again, is the Honor Magic V6, and it’s incredibly thin with a very thin battery that doesn’t care about water.
This story will be updated during MWC to ensure you don’t miss the best the show has to offer.
