“Never Let You Go” by Third Eye Blind (Episode 1)

Millennium, this is ours. Third Eye Blind’s 1999 single “Never Let You Go” is just another banger from the album. Bluebut less about crystal meth. It means it’s worth a ton more, we guess. Notably, the Vitamin String Quartet cover appears during the masquerade ball just after Lady Danbury (Adjoa Andoh) begs Queen Charlotte (Golda Rosheuvel) to let her out of her royal court. “I will never let you go” you are right.

“Enchanted” by Taylor Swift (Episode 2)

OK, this one got me. My dear friends got married to a cover of Taylor Swift’s “Enchanted” and I can’t hear it without shedding tears of joy. This is good Bridgerton Joseph William Morgan’s cover comes in a poignant moment in episode 2 when Sophie discovers Benedict visiting someone he’s not. Friends, Swift’s words are the storyline of Season 4, I don’t know what else to tell you.

“All I Wanted” by Paramore (Episode 3)

Excuse me while I sit down after hearing Hayley Williams’s straight B5 note in string form. Vitamin String Quartet’s cover of Paramore’s 2009 hit Very New Eyes it comes in a moment of deep longing and I honestly can’t stand it.

“Bad idea OK?” by Olivia Rodrigo (Episode 4)

This fire hazard cover of Caleb Chan’s “Bad Idea Right?” it asks the perfect question of the scene it benefits from. Olivia Rodrigo’s 2023 The intestines The banger is a song of obsession, self-control, and pure disregard for consequences. Yuuuup.

Bridgerton’s first cover of Charli xcx’s song, bro“360” by “360” plays on Hyacinth’s time (his little ball). As little Bridgerton and his pals struggle up the stairs of Longways and learn the power of cinnamon to track down someone, Peter Gregson’s cover fits the bill perfectly.

When Lady Whistledown writes about “creatures from opposite lands,” the full Gemini Strings cover of Billie Eilish’s 2024 singles. “The tug of war between two different desires can be very traumatic,” says Julie Andrews’ Lady Whistledown voice over. “Perhaps desire is not the problem, but the world itself.” When someone tells me that these are Billie Eilish’s words they appear Hit Me Hard and SoftI would believe.

The Vitamin String Quartet’s cover of Teddy Swims’ 2023 hit is not lost near the end of episode 5. Take control, sure.

The Cars 1978 song of sweet relief plays during Lady Penwood’s new ball (no spoilers!) and yes, this party – and this Altum Quartet cover – is just what the Ton needed.

“Fields of Gold” by Sting (Episode 6)

Sting’s 1993 ballad “Fields of Gold” is a welcome addition to your parents’ CD collection and Bridgerton sound track. Music Lab Collective’s cover of Ten Legends of the Summoner plays one during the Penwood ball as Francesca (Hannah Dodd) and John (Victor Alli) take a moment to look at the moon together. A moment of silence for the two, well deserved.

“Never Be The Same” by Camila Cabello (Episode 8)

Rub-a-dub-dub, you will know Camila Cabello’s 2017 song BridgertonLast episode in a flash. Covered by Strings From Paris, this song comes from a time when chastity and godliness are synonymous for Sophie and Benedict.

What way to end the season. Joni Fuller’s cover of Lord Huron’s 2017 hit, The Night We Met, has enjoyed several resurrections over the past few years, from acting. 13 Reasons Why soundtrack (both on its own and as a duet version with Phoebe Bridgers) to TikTok.
