The question is, will another internet nightmare join their ranks soon? Could Siren Head, the giant monster created by artist Trevor Henderson, be the next creepypasta to get the movie treatment? Nothing is confirmed yet – but if you look closely, there are clues.
‘Backroom’ review: Does an online creepypasta make a good full-length movie?
What is Siren Head?
In a nutshell, Siren Head is a telephone pole-sized monster that can blend in with its surroundings while hunting human prey. It was built by Henderson back in 2018, after a fan called Cally he sent her a picture of a cemetery against a blue sky. At this point Henderson was quickly building his social media presence by drawing monsters that he would include in photos. He liked Cally’s picture, and tried to draw something he thought would look creepy standing among the tombstones. Just like that, Siren Head was born.
“I was just drawing a tall, thin person, and then I had the idea to put a siren on the head because a) that sound has always scared me, and b) I’ve always liked the idea of number channels,” Henderson told Mashable in 2022. snippets of music, and strange voices saying a combination of strange numbers There are many theories that they resemble old Russian spy stations that have been abandoned and are still calculating codes.

It’s hard to overstate how popular Siren Head has become in the years since Henderson shared this first photo. It was slow-burning at first, but when YouTuber Markiplier – who recently won his own film The Iron Lung – he started talking about this monster on his channel at the beginning of 2020, millions of people listened.
The thing is now all over the internet. Siren Head’s inspired content has billions of views on TikTok and YouTube. There are many illegal Siren Head games on Steam and for sale on Amazon (many of which were created without Henderson’s knowledge or consent).

“The Internet just takes things,” Henderson said. “And there’s not much you can do, really, especially when a character explodes like Siren Head. It’s like you stop being yourself, in a way, and start being everybody else.”
Does the Siren Head movie work?
Speculations about the film’s potential have increased over the past week. There were several reasons for this. First, Henderson has started posting more about the creature again on Instagram.
In itself, this is not unusual. Although Henderson has created hundreds of monsters, Siren Head is a recurring favorite. But it is important to note that frequency of his posts have been called – there have been several in the past week alone, including video-style Reels showing the creature’s siren.
Even more impressive is who is commenting on these posts.
Under the photo above, which Henderson posted last week, movie producer Scott Glassgold responded with a few eye emojis. Glassgold, who founded production company 12:01 Films, is a big name in the horror film space, especially when it comes to adaptations based on Internet urban legends (he’s previously been involved in several deals, including stories that started on Reddit).

Glassgold’s comments did not appear. A commenter asked him specifically about the possibility of a Siren Head movie in response, to which he responded with three slightly disguised siren emojis. Henderson himself then answered Glassgold with a small megaphone. Mashable reached out to Glassgold to ask about the possibility of a movie, and his answer was cryptic. “I’m a huge Trevor fan and I’ll be first in line to see anything he does,” Glassgold said.
Henderson, when asked about the potential of the film, didn’t give much away either. “I would be happy,” he told Mashable. “I think Siren Head has a lot of potential to be expanded into a movie, but we’ll have to see. Either way, I’m very happy that people are still responding well to the creation of the creatures in 2026.”

So, what does it all mean? So far, there are no official announcements and this is all speculation. But Glassgold’s comments — and the fact that he’s been sharing Henderson’s latest Siren Head Reels — seem too deliberate to be mere coincidence.
Hopefully the creepypasta-to-movie pipeline gets a telegraph-sized extension soon.
