Pokemon’s First Partner Illustration Collection is back for another round, and Amazon is already taking pre-orders, with full art promo trading cards available.
Starting June 2, Amazon has Pokémon TCG: The First Companion Figure Collection—Series 2 is available for pre-order for $94.79 with Collectors Expedition, free delivery currently scheduled for June 24 to 25 – which is after the June 19 box release date.
However, if you’re open to shopping outside of Amazon and opting out of its easy return process, there are plenty of savings to be had by pre-ordering through dedicated trading card trading platform TCGplayer.
At TCGplayer, you will find listings from today we are at 65.26 $ at the time of writing, which is only 24 cents above the Series 2 Partner Collection’s market value of $65.02. The featured seller on that listing page, The Gaming Company, has over 200 units available as well, so there’s plenty to go around for those looking to sell for about $30 more than Amazon.

As for what you get in the box, regardless of which site you buy from, series 2 focuses on the first partner Pokémon from the regions of Johto, Unova, and Galar, which means that Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble are the stars this time. You’ll get three of the nine illustrated promo cards in one pack, so don’t expect a full set in one box.
Alongside the promo pack, the box also includes two additional Pokémon TCG booster packs (one from Chaos Rising, one Perfect Order – per the product image) and a sticker sheet featuring the original Pokémon partners.
To get more packs at a lower price, you can get a 36-pack Pokémon TCG Chaos Rising Booster Display Box for under $280. For more on anniversary celebrations, check out some of the 40+ new and exclusive things you can get your hands on. Target Pokémon 30th Anniversary Collection.
Although not currently available on Amazon, the recently announced Pokémon TCG Pitch Black Expansion – Booster Packs, ETBs, Display Boxes, and Booster Bundles – available for pre-order at TCGplayer.
