Should you get the Galaxy S25 over the Galaxy S26?

In a way, it feels unfair to use a word like “reform” when choosing last year’s Galaxy S25 over the S26.

If it’s any consolation, there aren’t any major differences in our head-to-head comparison between the two – the biggest differences involve the S26’s expanded AI programming tools and Samsung’s new privacy display. According to the two leaks, the Galaxy S25 and S26 Ultra lines have the same AMOLED display with a 1-120Hz refresh rate, while the S26 Ultra cameras all have the same resolutions as the S25 Ultra.

If your biggest pet peeve is a phone that loses charge over time, the S25 might be a safer option. Battery life could be a major concern for the S26, with reports saying the S26 will be able to hit 80 percent of a full charge after 1,200 charge cycles.
