‘Stranger Things: Tales from ’85,’ ‘Running Point,’ ‘Beef’ and more New to Netflix in April.

Netflix it has moved on this April in the new release department. Not only are fan-favorite shows like Running Point, starring Kate Hudson, and seasonal favorite Beef returning with new episodes this month, but we’re also getting a new Stranger Things series, Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, this month, on top of a slew of new movies and documentaries.

Big films hitting the stage this month include Apex, a thriller starring Charlize Theron as a hunted woman in the Australian wilderness; Noah Kahan: Out of Body, a profile of the famous singer; and the Adam Sandler-produced comedy Roommates, starring Sadie Sandler and Chloe East. Untold: Chess Mates (Netflix Original Documentary)

Untold is a fantastic Netflix sports series that shines a light on some of the most dangerous and famous sports stories. A new collection of four feature-length documentaries is out now, starting with Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom, which reveals the private struggles of one of the NBA’s most famous stars. That premiered on March 31, and three more will arrive in April, including Untold: Chess Mates (April 7), about the controversial games and feud between chess players Magnus Carlsen and Hans Niemann, Untold: Jail Blazers (April 14), which looks at scandal-plagued Portland The Trail0 at the beginning of 2 Hawthorne Hill (April 21) about a former Olympic equestrian accused of trying to kill one of his riding students ride in 2019.

Thrash (Netflix original movie)

Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor stars in the new disaster movie Thrash, coming to Netflix on April 10. The movie, about a coastal community wiped out by a hurricane, is actually a disaster movie that’s also a monster movie. Since the city in question is flooded, they have to face the sharks. The film’s cast also includes Djimon Hounsou and Whitney Peak.

Noah Kahan: Out of Body (Netflix Original Documentary)

Singer-songwriter (and popular New England singer) Noah Kahan is profiled in a new film that chronicles his rise to fame and shows his life at home in Vermont with his family. Noah Kahan: Out of Body arrives on Netflix on April 13.

Roommates is a new comedy produced by Adam Sandler starring his daughter, Sadie Sandler, and Chloe East as college roommates whose friendships get worse as they move in together. Charlize Theron just can’t catch a break in the new Apex Survival. Theron stars as a grieving woman who sets out on a journey across the Australian desert to help her survive, only to find herself pursued by a ruthless killer. Taron Egerton and Eric Bana star in the film coming to Netflix on April 24.

Former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury returns to boxing in a Ring match against Arslanbek Makhmudov on April 11. Conor “The Destroyer” Benn and Regis “Rougarou” Prograis headline the event, which airs live from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in North London at 2 pm ET/11 am PT. Another fight card features Jeamie Tshikeva vs. Richards Riakporhe and Frazer Clarke vs. Justice Huni.

The fight is included in every Netflix show.
