I’ve spent the last three years as Mashable’s resident laptop expert, a job I take seriously. The truth of the matter is that a good computer is usually not cheap, so I go to great lengths to make sure that any laptop I recommend is worth the investment. Put another way: I’m very picky because I look bad if I tell you to buy an expensive machine that’s struggling.

I am so picky that I have opinions about it there you should buy your own laptop. Admittedly, Amazon isn’t usually my first choice: It doesn’t carry as many models as other tech retailers like Best Buy, and it’s full of inventory from third-party sellers that I don’t fully trust. (They may have different customer service policies than Amazon itself, and may advertise misleading information.) But there are always great laptop deals to be found during Amazon’s year-round sales — including its Big Spring sale, which wraps up today, March 31.

The best laptop deals I’m seeing on Amazon right now include MacBooks, MacBooks, and more MacBooks. Almost every Apple laptop from the past two years is on sale, if it’s in stock, with big price cuts down to a few M4 MacBook Airs. At $300 off, it’s significantly cheaper than their M5 replacement that Apple announced earlier this month. (Those are also already on sale, but for about $50 off.)

The latest MacBook Pros are the cheapest since the Big Spring sale began on March 25, so congratulations to any procrastinators out there. You can snag an M5 Pro or M5 Max model for up to $200 off; they were only $50 off last week.

Things are pretty good on the Windows side, but I managed to find an Asus gaming convertible for sale at a record low price.

I’ve compiled all of my top picks below. Don’t count on them to stick around after 11:59 pm PT tonight, when the Big Spring sale officially ends. Note: Deals marked with 🔥 are down to record lows.

The 2025 MacBook Air is basically the same as its predecessor, save for its wireless chip and processor. (You’re not missing much there: In our performance tests, the M4 version was only six percent slower than the M5 model in both single- and multitasking workloads.) It features a bright Liquid Retina display, a backlit keyboard, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, and a 12MP webcam with Center Stage support. At $1,099, this 15-inch Starlight model has never been cheaper.

The Asus ROG Flow Z13 is a zippy gaming convertible with a detachable keyboard and a buttery 180Hz display — GTA VNed Luke is an excellent host. This configuration is powered by the high-end AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 chip with integrated graphics paired with the RTX 4060 GPU while we tested it on another Asus laptop. Amazon has marked it down to $2,069.99, which is 14% off its MSRP and its best deal yet. (Ignore Amazon’s list price; it’s actually $2,399.99, according to Asus’ website.) It also comes with a free PC download code The Crimson DesertPearl Abyss’s new epic adventure game.

This ROG Flow Z13 deal is the same price at Best Buy, but does not include the The Crimson Desert the code there.
